Terms & Conditions
The plain-English rules for working with ContractorSiteUSA: what we do, how payment works, and what we can and cannot promise.
About these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply to every website, proposal, project and monthly service that ContractorSiteUSA (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides to a business or person who hires us (“you”, “your”).
By accepting a proposal, paying an invoice or letting us start work, you agree to these terms. If a written proposal that we have both accepted says something different for your project, the proposal applies to that point and these terms apply to everything else.
Our services
We design and build websites for home service contractors, and we provide ongoing website care, local SEO and AI search visibility work. Your proposal describes exactly what you are buying. In general:
- Contractor Website Launch. A one-time project: a custom, mobile-first website of up to 10 pages, with on-page SEO included at launch, a quote request form, click-to-call buttons and launch support.
- Website Care. An optional monthly service after launch: hosting coordination, security and plugin updates, backups, uptime checks and reasonable content changes.
- Local SEO Growth. Month-to-month local SEO work for one location, including an initial technical and local SEO review, a Google Business Profile review, one priority page optimized each month and a plain-English monthly report.
- Pro AI Visibility. Everything in Local SEO Growth, plus AI search content structure and competitor visibility tracking.
Starting prices and plan details are shown on our website. The price in your proposal or invoice is the price that applies to you, and we may change prices for new orders at any time. Work outside the agreed scope, such as extra pages, new features or a major redesign, is quoted separately.
Timelines and what we need from you
Most websites go live in about 9 days once we have everything we need: your logo, photos, service details, service area and reviews. That is a typical timeline, not a promise. Late materials, slow feedback or late payment move the schedule.
You review and approve the website before it goes live. If a project stalls for an extended period because we are waiting on you, we may pause or close it, and amounts you have already paid stay non-refundable under section 06.
Your content and responsibilities
You are responsible for the information you give us and for having the right to use it. When you send us logos, photos, text, reviews or other material, you confirm that:
- you own it or have permission to use it;
- it is accurate and not misleading, including license numbers, insurance, certifications, warranties, service areas and reviews; and
- it does not infringe anyone else’s rights or break the law.
We do not invent reviews, ratings, numbers or claims, and we will not publish claims you cannot support. You remain responsible for your own business licenses, advertising rules and consumer-protection duties in the states where you work, and for checking the final website before launch.
Fees and payment
- One-time projects are invoiced as set out in your proposal.
- Monthly plans are billed in advance, every month, until you cancel.
- You pay for domain names, third-party hosting, software and advertising unless your proposal says we include them.
- Prices are in US dollars. Taxes are added where the law requires them.
- If a payment fails or is late, we may pause your services, including website care and hosting coordination, until your account is up to date.
No refunds
We do not offer refunds. Please read this section before you pay.
- A website that has been designed, built or delivered is non-refundable. This applies whether or not it has been launched, and whether or not you decide to use it.
- Services you have already paid for are non-refundable. This includes the current period of any monthly plan, even if you cancel part-way through it.
- Cancelling a monthly plan stops future charges. It does not return anything you have already paid.
- Search rankings, traffic or the number of enquiries are not grounds for a refund (see section 08).
If you think something we delivered is wrong, email us at hello@contractorsiteusa.com and we will review your concern in good faith. Please contact us before you dispute a payment, so we can sort it out quickly.
Monthly plans and cancellation
Website Care and Local SEO Growth are month-to-month. You can cancel at any time by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and we make no further charges after that.
Some offers, such as a free website design included with a 12-month Pro AI Visibility contract, need a 12-month commitment. For those offers, your written proposal sets out the commitment, what is included and what happens if you end early.
No guarantees of results
We improve your website, your search foundations and how clearly search engines and AI tools can understand your business. We cannot guarantee any specific result.
- No ranking guarantees. We do not guarantee a #1 ranking, or any position, on Google, Bing or any other search engine.
- No AI search guarantees. We do not guarantee that your business will be mentioned, cited or recommended by AI search tools and assistants, such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Copilot.
- No business guarantees. We do not guarantee any number of visitors, calls, form submissions, leads, customers or revenue.
Search and AI visibility depend on many things we do not control: search engine and AI algorithms, which change often; competition in your trade and area; your reviews, reputation and Google Business Profile; your history and service area; the quality and freshness of your content; and how quickly you give us what we ask for. Results take time, often several months, and can go down as well as up. Any estimate, forecast or example we share is for planning only and is not a promise.
Ownership and intellectual property
Your logos, photos, text, reviews and other materials stay yours. Once the launch fee is paid in full, you may use the finished website design and the content we wrote for your business.
We keep ownership of our own tools, code, templates, methods and know-how, and of anything we reuse across clients. Third-party items, such as themes, plugins, fonts and stock images, stay under their own licenses.
Third-party services
Websites rely on services we do not control, such as hosting providers, domain registrars, Google, review platforms, analytics tools and plugins. We are not responsible for outages, policy or price changes, or data loss caused by them, and using them means accepting their own terms.
Information you share
When you send us a form, an email or materials, we use that information to reply to you, to provide the services and to run our business. Share only what is needed, and do not send passwords or payment card numbers by email. If we need access to your accounts, such as your domain or Google Business Profile, we will ask you to grant it through the platform’s normal sharing options.
Disclaimer and limit of liability
Our services are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties that are not stated in these terms, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost business, lost data or loss of search visibility.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for that service in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end our services if payments are overdue, if you break these terms, if you ask us to publish something false, unlawful or infringing, or if you treat our team abusively. Ending our relationship does not entitle you to a refund, and any amounts already due remain payable.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page, with its “last updated” date, applies to new orders and to ongoing services from the day it is posted. If you keep using our services after a change, you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which ContractorSiteUSA is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally.
